Speak it! the best selling Text to Speech solution on the app store has been updated to version 2.5, brining a slew of new features and updates for the app.
One of the major new features our users have been asking for is the ability to highlight words as they are being spoken. You can now follow along easily as Speak it reads the text for you. This will be an especially welcome addition to our growing disability community using our app.
Ten new voices have also been added for download on our in-app purchase Speak it! Store, including hotly requested Arabic, Russian, and Swedish voices.

Speak it! 2.5 is a free update to all our existing users, and only a small one time charge of $1.99 for new users. It is available for update or download on the iTunes App Store immediately.
Future Apps released today its long awaited major update to its iSpeak Translators. Along with the 2.0 update comes the release of three new iSpeak Apps; iSpeak Arabic, iSpeak Greek, and iSpeak Russian. The additional support of these three major new languages bring the total tally to 14 iSpeak translators.
iSpeak 2.0 update brings major enhancements to the existing iSpeak line of Applications. iSpeak apps are now universal, meaning the apps have been redesigned from the ground up to run on the iPad, with a new stunning interface to take advantage of the larger iPad screen. Existing iPhone owners will be able to use their updated iSpeak app on their iPad at no additional cost!
The update also brings full iOS 4.0 support to iPhone and iPod Touch owners, including multitasking, so you can now switch in and out of our iSpeak apps uninterrupted, and allow our industry leading text to speech engine play your translations in the background while you use other apps.

Posted in NewsIt is hard to believe that just a year ago today our first App, Distance Meter, went on sale on the App Store. It has been one great ride leading this company from its humble beginnings into one of the leading software development companies on the iPhone platform in such a short time.
We have had one phenomenal first year. Future Apps has released six core applications in the past year, all of which have ranked number one in their respective categories. Distance Meter has been the number one GPS based workout application since release and continues to do well. Our conversion app, iConvert, with its ingenious user interface has been the overall number one selling unit converter on the App Store for the past year. One of our newest products, iSpeak Language Translators, have enjoyed being the top downloaded language/translating apps since release. The app’s key selling feature, its ability to speak back translated phrases using a high quality text to speech engine, has been an overwhelming success with our users. We now support eleven languages, with many more coming soon!
We are very proud on the success of our first year on the still fledgling, and somewhat chaotic, App Store, but we are not stopping there. We have some exciting plans in store for the rest of 2009 and 2010 that will keep Future Apps at the spearhead of iPhone development. We have been hard at work at a complete ground up redesign of our first app Distance Meter, that will build on the success of the original app with many new features. Look for Distance Meter 2.0 on the App Store in the coming weeks! We also have some exciting new updates for our iSpeak language apps that will redefine the term “The Most Advance Mobile Translator.” These are just some of the projects we are currently working on, and have many new products in our pipeline based on the new technologies introduced in iPhone 3.0 and the new iPhone 3GS!
